Israeli soldiers receiving donations made by Haifa residents
On October 7th while many Israelis were preparing to go to synagogue and celebrate Simchat Torah or just relax at home and enjoy the holiday, Hamas launched a murderous military campaign by land, sea, and air, resulting in the brutal loss of life of over 1,300 men, women and children hiding in their homes. Israelis were burned to death; shot as they were hiding in closets or in their safe rooms, with the “lucky” ones kidnapped and held now in Gaza.

Moriah Congregation in Haifa, the oldest conservative synagogue in Israel (established in 1955) together with the wonderful residents of the City of Haifa have launched a campaign to help our reserve soldiers, called to action in defense of our country. We are taking requests by the dozens from reserve military units both in the north and south. These are our husbands and wives, sons and daughters, grandchildren and granddaughters.
We will do everything in our power to make sure that they are well equipped and ready for the mission ahead of them.
